CCTV

CCTV stands for Closed Circuit Television. These cameras are fixed and can send videos and images to everywhere addressed. CCTV mostly used for security and monitoring cases but actually its used broadly used in situations where a video conference is hold, an international event is broadcasted , in criminal use, traffic control military services and etc.

Crime prevention:

There’s a huge use of CCTVs in crime prevention. From driving crimes to criminal ones. For instance, the cameras used in ATMs help to detect crimes happens in banks. A study conducted in UK and USA regarding to the effect of CCTVs shows that there is a 51% decrease in park lots crime, 23% decrease in transportation crime and 7% decrease in crime overall.

Industrial processes:

In industrial factories where the presence of humans is dangerous, hard or impossible using cameras is very common like in chemical factories and nuclear processes. In industrial cases using thermo graphic cameras to scan which allow operators to measure the temperature of the process.

Traffic control:

Nowadays, in most countries, there’s an increasing use of CCTV to control the traffic, and by GPSs, drivers can be aware of traffic congestion. Also there are several options which range from monitoring the accident and detecting the driving crimes to reading the car plates.

Transportation safety

In transportation system, to avoid any accident in the blind locations like subways, buses and etc. CCTVs have a great use. These CCTVs are the preliminary generation of their type and analogue signals are used to send and receive voice and image, two wires are used to do this transmission that one of them protect the other one in front of receiving noise. The cable used for these cameras is mostly coaxial RG59. Although in case, there is the possibility of using the other cable as well.
As its name calls, the quality of videos in analogue cameras is based on analogue signals. These signals are very vulnerable in front of noise, electromagnetic signals and also noises of electrical cables which has always been a threat. That’s why using the high quality of equipment has a very significant role in sending a high quality video.
When it comes to sending signals through wireless connection, an important deal comes up. That’s the issue of sending in analogue range. Firstly, this hurts the video and audio quality badly and secondly everyone can track the videos with no permission

What makes these cameras popular in Iran market is their low price. Although recently companies are changing their mind toward digital cameras, the pace of this trend is slow.

Advantages:

  • Its low price
  • Wide variety
  • Easy connection to digital cameras

Disadvantage of analogue cameras:

  • Low quality
  • Vulnerable in front of noise
  • High cabling expenses
  • Sending insecure and low quality videos through wireless

IP camera:

In the world people have shown a lot of interest in using IP CCTVs. As its name shows, these cameras can send video for analytical purposes. Unlike the analogue cameras, they receive digital signals and send the same.

Advantages of IP cameras:

High quality and secure communication

Optimized use of cables

Disadvantage of IP cameras:

High price

Limited bandwidth

The network cameras are directly connected to the global network. They can be connected to the internet through local network and even independently and they have the option of being controlled through internet.

There’s no need to use DVR anymore, there must just a need to use a device to record camera IP and instead, NVRs are used rather than DVRs.
when it comes to system optimizing of mega projects, the option of sending photo and video with no cabling to monitoring centers, IP cameras show their total difference from analogue cameras.
In case it’s needed to use cables, network cameras can be connected through a parallel or series formation to avoid extra cabling and as mentioned, to use wireless connection is the best option of all. Power over Ethernet or PoE describes any of several standardized or ad-hoc systems which pass electric power along with data on twisted pair Ethernet cabling. This allows a single cable to provide both data connection and electric power to devices such as wireless access points and IP cameras.

Two task diamonds cameras

These are analogue cameras which has network outlook. Although the quality is the analogue still, but there will be this option to use in network.
This case is used when the cameras are analogue and there’s a need to use more than that and get them connected to the same network.

Dome cameras are either ceiling mounted or suspended from a wall mounted bracket depending on the application or the field of view required. The camera unit is mounted inside a transparent dome which can be tinted to obscure the camera position. Dome cameras come in a wide variety of forms. They can be analogue or IP, fixed or mobile. PTZ domes can rotate (pan), incline (tilt) or focus closer on objects of interest (zoom). The cameras can by thermal for night vision or be equipped with infrared illuminators or they can be for daytime use only. Housings are available for weather or vandal resistance or for use in hazardous (explosion risk) environments. Dome cameras are also available in mini- and micro- versions for discrete deployments and are available in a range of housings to suit various architectural styles. Modern IP dome cameras are also available with built-in video analytics and can receive power through the Ethernet signal cable reducing installation costs

Because of their tiny size, mini cameras are some of the most customizable devices offered at BrickHouse Security. Choose a wireless mini camera that doesn't need an external DVR and record hours of on-the-go footage right to an SD card, or carry a button or pinhole miniature camera with a portable DVR and review your video as it happens. These tiny security cameras are ideal for anybody that wants hands-free covert footage; perfect for law enforcement, private investigators, secret shoppers, and many more.

A pan–tilt–zoom camera (PTZ camera) is a camera that is capable of remote directional and zoom control.
In television production, PTZ controls are used with professional video cameras in television studios, sporting events, and other spaces. They are commonly referred to as robos, an abbreviation of robotic camera. These systems can be remotely controlled by automation systems. The PTZ controls are generally sold separately without the cameras, but can also be sold as a set, as in the case of Fletcher cameras.

PTZ is an abbreviation for pantilt and zoom and reflects the movement options of the camera. Other types of cameras are ePTZ or virtual pan-tilt-zoom (VPTZ) where a high-resolution camera digitally zooms and pans into portions of the image, with no physical camera movement. Ultra-low bandwidth surveillance streaming technologies use VPTZ to stream user-defined areas in higher quality without increasing overall bandwidth usage. Surveillance cameras of this type are often connected to a digital video recorder which records the full field of view in full quality.

Weatherproof Security Cameras

Outdoor CCTV cameras are enclosed in weatherproof camera housings that are designed to keep out dust and moisture from damaging the internal components of the security camera. Our weatherproof security cameras come in variety of form factors such as bullet, box style and vandal proof security cameras. Some of these outdoor CCTV cameras have features such as vandal proof housings, night vision capabilities and adjustable lens.

Hidden security cameras, which are also known as hidden surveillance cameras, hidden spy cameras, and covert cameras, are often the best type of camera when the goal is to monitor people and property secretly. As seen in the product choices on this page, hidden surveillance cameras are concealed in housings to look like smoke detectors, PIR alarm motion sensors, fire sprinklers, and other inconspicuous objects. One of our bestselling models is the motion detector security camera. CCTV Camera Pros also supplies mini spy cameras as small as the size of a quarter which can be hidden in any object that the customer chooses. If you have any questions related to the spy cameras on this page or anything related to video surveillance, please contact us

DVR:

Digital video recording is a device to control and monitor the analogue cameras. This device gives many options to the costumers. From recording videos with different formats, to setting different alarm and installing different practical software. DVRs are classified according to their outputs and include 4 to 32 channels.

NVR

A network video recorder (NVR) is a software program that records video in a digital format to a disk driveUSB flash drive, SD memory card or other mass storage device. An NVR contains no dedicated video capture hardware. However, the software is typically run on a dedicated device, usually with an embedded operating system. Alternatively, to help support increased functionality and serviceability, standard operating systems are used with standard processors and video management software. An NVR is typically deployed in an IP video surveillance system.

Network video recorders are distinct from digital video recorders (DVR) as their input is from a network rather than a direct connection to a video capture card or tuner. Video on a DVR is encoded and processed at the DVR, while video on an NVR is encoded and processed at the camera, then streamed to the NVR for storage or remote viewing Additional processing may be done at the NVR, such as further compression or tagging with meta data.

The BNC (Bayonet Neill–Concelman) connector is a miniature quick connect/disconnect radio frequency connector used for coaxial cable. It features two bayonet lugs on the female connector; mating is fully achieved with a quarter turn of the coupling nut. BNC connectors are used with miniature-to-subminiature coaxial cable in radio, television, and other radio-frequency electronic equipment, test instruments, and video signals. The BNC was commonly used with 10BASE2 computer networks. BNC connectors are made to match the characteristic impedance of cable at either 50 ohms or 75 ohms. They are usually applied for frequencies below 4 GHz and voltages below 500 volts.[2]

Similar connectors using the bayonet connection principle exist, and a threaded connector is also available. United States military standard MIL-PRF-39012 entitled Connectors, Coaxial, Radio Frequency, General Specification for (formerly MIL-C-39012) covers the general requirements and tests for radio frequency connectors used with flexible cables and certain other types of coaxial transmission lines in military, aerospace, and spaceflight applications.
